To be fair to Brian S., Al Gore did come out and say that no company should have 70% market share in the interview with Red Herring. Gore is a threat to fair business. He has come out and said as much.

AMAT has significant market share in many areas and is looking to bolster it. Though I am inclined to have this be an AMAT-ONLY zone, the article directly relates to AMAT as Gore is a threat to many companies which got to where they are by superior technology, shrewd management, or a combination of factors. I for one, do not want a politician to tell me how much market share(with an entirely aribtrary number) my company can control, if we play by the rules of the state. Companies like INTC and AMAT will be threatened even though they have gotten where they are through fair(albeit tough) competition. This "logic," for lack of a better word, runs counter to everything America stands for.
