In every post, I said that you "implied" it was Microsoft's fault. To many posters, the Netcraft ping pointer would most likely be interpreted as such an implication. I can accept that, from your perspective, you may have been trying to open the field in response to someone assuming it was again a Sun problem. Still, based on their use of Microsoft technologies, Microsoft as the cause of the problem at E-Bay is quite a stretch. If I misinterpreted your intent, then I apologize.

I think they've also got a fair amount of proprietary software, some of which runs on top of Oracle. I believe the hardware is mixed Sun and Wintel, but there may also be some other stuff in the mix.
