Yes, I don't see any analyst reports (and ive seen 3) which show any taxes hitting this year. I have no idea when taxes hit next fiscal year, it could be better than my model.. i.e. maybe only 3 of the 4 Q's will be fully taxed in fiscal 2002. But I try to be conservative on my #s. Usually companies I follow take longer than a 3 Q period before they do the 180 degree switch from "losses" to "fully taxed" status, but since EFNT will be making a lot of money very quickly (if they execute) I assume they will be hitting taxed stage quicker than the average bear.

<note: taking an even more conservative stance and assuming the 4Q 2001 i.e. June 2001 Q is fully taxed, the EPS falls from .44 to .26 and the year end falls down to .80, in line with estimates of .79/.80.. assuming 40% tax that Q.. whichever the first Q the taxes begin I dont expect the full tax rate anyhow>

As you know EFNT has a long history of DEEP losses haha.

P.S. GSPN also kicking butt... nice margins there too. Sold a lot of my position there that I bought 4 days ago at $71 (when it died 40% in 1 day because of CMTN/COVD) -->out at $104 area this morning. But they seem to be a big benefactor of supplying chips across the board and I will look to rebuild it somewhere here... VRTA is also a secondary play on the DSL chip theme and they had a nice announcement today.

I just dont want too much exposure in this sector as it is definately out of favor and the market I dont think is quite done with its nervousness. However, these seem to be the 3 stocks (aside from more diverisifed ALA) that have been left standing after the rest have been executing and exposed for being truly 3rd tier companies.

But I really cannot find a better "value" than EFNT (other than the mighty WSTL) hah

<!>only DSL company to kick butt. <!>

"only dsl company"???

that worries me. they make simple cpu boxes that dont even work. if i sit down, i can make a better cpu than the pos 5250s.

there are many better box makers. 3com, netopia, cs and the list goes on...

efnt is pos. <G> IMO. go with the dsl clec. ie covd.
