The fact that the so-called "independent investigation" of TravelGate concluded just a week or two ago (seven years after the fact) is clear that all of the Clinton inquiries, including the impeachment vote, were nothing more than a GOP "witch hunt."

Even my wife, who will vote for Bush on Nov. 7, agrees with me on that point, as do the vast majority of the American people.

The American public is tired, tired, tired of the perpetual "independent prosecutor" looking into every facet of Clinton's life.

If Bush is elected president, it would be my hope that we subject Dubya's past life to the same scrutiny. Let's spend another $60 million to investigate his past business dealings/personal improprieties.

That's the way business is conducted in Washington these days. Witch hunts with special prosecutors and unlimited time and unlimited budgets.

Re: "When does one start to take responsibility for one's own doing?" Answer: How many times has Clinton apologized for his sins? Is there a magic number that would appease you? 12? 15?

Clinton sinned, the House prosecuted him, the Senate acquitted him ... yet we go on and on and on and on and on and on and on ... ad infinitum.

Let's subject Dubya to the same scrutiny and see if he holds up as well.
