Agreed. Triquint is in the same boat. They blew away their numbers just last week, and here they are getting hit because of NatlSemi.

I've got a pretty big stake in semiconductors (not just ADI, although it is my biggest semi position) and I _really_ hope they come out of their current funk SOON! We are constantly told to "be selective" in our stock picking, yet seem to be at the mercy of those who aren't selective at all when it comes to market action.

JMHO.

Reminds me of Dell. A few years ago I was holding A good sum of Dell shares. They pretty much were breeding on their own, because I'd bought them at $69 and they'd split 2 for 1 four times after that. Anyway CPQ comes out with a bad quarterly report and all PC makers, including Dell, took a hit. The facts ended up showing CPQ was having trouble because Dell was eating their lunch. So that is how it is today with ADI...nothing is wrong with ADI other than fools who had bought shares without knowing what they had. Juggernaut is doing fine and earnings are not far off to prove it.

btw. In the AWRE CC last week the CEO said ADI was selling ADSL chipsets to LU...not to mention Cisco and others. And as you know...LU makes ADSL CPE chipsets.
