I said overweighted in tech, not ALL tech.

Consider this, in the EARLY 90's he threw $25-50K each into AMGN, INTC, CSCO, and MSFT. At the time, this was a small position in his portfolio. Now each of those four positions has ballooned to over $500K a piece (not positive if this is still true after the latest downturn). For all of the 90's his broker kept telling him you could never own too much of these stocks, so he never sold. Now he's over half tech weighted even though he hasn't really bought any tech in well over 5 years. This is common IMO, especially within the mutual funds.
