You don't have to go that far to see how increadible these buracracies are... try taking care of a moving violation in downtown Chicago! I was agast at waiting in several lines at the 'ArbeitsAmt' in Frankfurt, then down to the Wonungamt, etc. etc. [Amt is 'official office, or some such thing], but I realized after coming back to the states that paying my parking ticket in Chicago actaully rivaled it! To say nothing of what goes on at 'social services'. I must say, although I always considered myself a 'liberal' on social issues, liberals have NOTHING on the conservatives like Newt G. when it comes to understanding the truth of all this. DAK
