I've given up on trying to give advice to people Was talking last week to a co-worker whose family net worth is about 80% in vested VRSN options. They are not selling, in fact they are tapping their home equity for funds to exercise-and-hold some of the options. I suggested this might be risky; the response was "but it's held up really well... seems to be the best tech stock investment we can find. Where else should we put our money, cash?" (slightly contemptuous tone at the end there).
