(search under last 30 days for "SanDisk")

10/24/2000 Dow Jones News Service

I have summarized the article in my own words here with commentary...

The November 6th, 2000 trial will include charges against SanDisk as outlined in the LEXR press release. As I have posted, these charges were previously known and described in the Lexar IPO registration statement.

Originally the trial had been scheduled to begin yesterday.

"SanDisk had no immediate comment."

The article states it is SanDisk's opinion that Lexar is misrepresenting the ruling. Lexar maintains that the CFA did not receive disclosure of SanDisk's patent application ('987 apparently) before the CF standard was presented.

Judge Breyer apparently has received documents from SanDisk that indicate SanDisk was under no written obligation by the regulations of the CFA to disclose the patent application.

The court also said the written regulations of the PCMCIA were not violated by SanDisk.
