Yes, a lot of confusion here. NT's guidance has actually increased from last quarter, not decreased. At last quarter , NT guided 40% revenue growth for 2000 over 1999 and high 30's % growth for EPS for 2000 over 1999. For 2001, the guidance was for 30-35% for both revenue and EPS.

Now, NT increases the guidance for 2000 EPS from high 30's to low 40% growth. All in all, increased guidance. BUT, the press chooses to emphasize NOW that revenue and EPS guidance for 2001 is lower than 40% and thus falsely concluding NT slowing down. The guidance for 2001 has been known all this time. Everyone just need to settle down and read through the company press releases more carefully.
