russwinter,

PDG has been written off by some for so many times now, but they keep still keep showing up. It remains to be seen what will really happen and when. The Scotia Capital study should soon shed some light as to the best alternatives for developing Las Cristinas are.

Given the weak economics of both Las Cristinas and Brisas, it might make sense to reduce the overall capital costs and spread them over a larger base. After all, the gold hedging available is the same no matter who will eventually control Las Cristinas.

PDG may decide to quit the project, or sell it, or lose it or may joint venture it. Several possible outcomes. We shall see how the government wants it to be done.
