OT: Think I've probably said this before, but I wonder what the federal budget surplus will look like for the coming fiscal year? In the year just ended the capital gains tax bite due to the overall market valuation increase was more or less the same as the $280 billion surplus. What's the betting that the budget surplus will totally evaporate for the coming fiscal year if this keeps up? And if it does, there'll be plenty of egg on the faces of both Congress & the Administration because they're already spending next year's "surplus".
