Gerald, Things look pretty bad for optical sector for tomorrow. I just hope there is increasing gains by smaller players in systems--that compete with NT. If these other players made progress, maybe JDSU will not be hit too hard.

My plan is to buy ahead of the earnings if it drops a lot by Thursday. If it does not drop that severely, I plan to wait until after earnings. I already have a position in the stock.

The company did increase their authorized shares and I don't know if one can read into that at this point.

Good Luck

Gerald, IMO you got a steal. I'm guessing SDLI closes above 300 tomorrow and JDSU gets back to 90.

This is complete BS and Wall St is trying to write their story book ending to this bear market with that capitulation stage so many keep looking for.

The Naz futures being down 82 right off the bat is just a scare tactic and I wouldn't be surprised to see the futures down much less by the time the market opens.

I think Roth at NT just got too bullish for his own good. NT is a gigantic company and by the "law of large numbers", it's difficult to keep up the incredible growth they were experiencing.

It's much easier for a company like JDSU w/ revenues of 3B to grow revs by 50% then it is for a company like NT to with revs of 30B. NT numbers were good, no doubt about it. I'm sure NT gets back to 60 by Y/E, possibly much sooner than that.

Y/E targets:
NT = 65
JDSU = 130
SDLI = JDSU x 3.8 (500)

Call me crazy but this is a crazy market w/ a short memory and once these stocks start moving, people will have forgotten what happened today.
