OT:

No, there were two polls conducted today (Tuesday) -- the second one was in the afternoon and here is the latest result :

dailynews.yahoo.com

It also says at the end, that from today onwards, updates will be done at 6:30PM ET everyday.

Gore leads Bush by 45 to 42, according to the latest figures. That must come as a big relief to Limbaugh et al <g> Because, if Bush wins, these folks will have nothing to do (other than bashing gays and lesbians) for the next 4 years (after spewing vitriol on the Clintons for the first 6 months, that is).

<<No according to Zogby Bush is ahead by 2 percent

... hope you weren't relying on the media to accurately report the Zogby poll numbers.>>

I think the media had it right this time. Both MSNBC and Reuters have the new numbers: Gore 45, Bush 42

dailynews.yahoo.com

They were released this afternoon as the tracking poll will now be coming out at 3:30pm pacific time, so there were two releases today.

This race has been insane, no idea who will win. The people don't seem to care who the next president will be. How else to account for the big fluctuations since Labor Day?

The market sure seems to want Bush. After a good August, Gore was up pretty solidly in the polls and the market tanked all through September while Bush grabbed the advantage.

If Gore's lead holds up for a couple days, and if my crack-pot theory has any merit, these could be a pretty bloody two weeks leading up to the election.
