Yeah, I did the same. I covered my shorts that afternoon and went long. I was shocked 20 minutes later at what a fool I was. As a pro trader , on Monday morning, we could name our own price to buy. There were NO buyers, none. Most of the stocks that I traded opened down 2 to 5 bucks, but I could have opened them all at any price that I wanted. Some of the guys were quite cruel, IMHO. There were no bids at all.
As an aside, I think that the powers should have let that crash fullfill itself. We now have the result of intervention in that episode to still reconcile itself.
