Lets think this through. Ads are placed for the purpose of soothing investors woes even though G* marketing knows the ads are useless. They will spend a little but not too much because it is just meant to sooth the ignorant and stupid shareholders. But alas, a few clever posters realize that it is a PR trick and the whole plan backfires. It was just another waste of money as investors woes are greater than ever.

Give me a break. The ads will work or they wont. Does G* know if they will work? Of course not. Do posters on this board know? Of course not. Is 10 seconds better than 0 seconds? Yes. Will the ad be run again. I'm sure it will. If someone sees the ad and likes the idea they will call and find out more even if they have to see the ad again (since it was too short to get the info the first time).

Remember that G* isn't competing with other phones. It doesn't have to come up with 20 different flavors to dominate the shelf space at the store or try to convince us through constant and repeated exposure. It just needs to let people know it exists. I'm not ready to complain about any ad on MNF.

Maybe the ads will get longer when G* marketing has had more time to create the stuff since this may very possibly be a decision only a few weeks old. Come on, who thought BS was really going to have a MNF ad as soon as he did following the Loral CC?
