He didn't roll over on his buddies like those other sniveling weaklings did. He shut up and did his time.

When he was questioned he told his interrogators he was a prisoner of war and only gave his name, rank, and serial number.

You might take a dim view of that, but there is something admirable there.

flapjack: He (Liddy) is almost a comic book character, but he hit the nail on the head with that remark. Gore does come across that way. It is what hurt him in the last debate. I thought he was cleaning Bush's clock until that moment when he rudely strutted over to Bush. And Bush handled it marvelously. I guess if you are a Gore supporter you can overlook it, but the proof is in the pudding (subsequent polls) that his style was counterproductive. Dick, jerk, asshole...whatever you want to call it, that is how he came across. That said, I will agree that Gore punished him on his command of the details of his own programs. If you like more programs, that is.
