I think bone comprises the majority of the ashes. My understanding is that the body is placed in a paperboard? type container for cremation. Burning coffins is too expensive. If there is a visitation viewing before cremation it is in a rent-a-coffin affair.

My guy gives you the ashes in a small, sealed cardboard box if you don't want the urn.

I agree on the spreading of ashes. I like the symbolism. I have a nice river in mind as well.

But my kid has different plans for me. I am to be toted around hither and yon, spending the majority of my time perched on his fireplace mantle. I don't know about this...
