At NT's scale it is impossible to persist with anywhere near the growth rates they've experienced. The analyst's expectations are sound only up to the assumptions that things will remain the same. Currently things are deteriorating. Extrapolations are always linear in time because that's the simplest assumption. When things deteriorate they carry other unexpected factors which convert linear to non-linear. Then the bottom drops out and no one cares what should have occurred.

Stephen, I appreciate yours & others input. I am not long the opticals YET. However, when enough negativism mounts, it will be time to go long IMHO. Why? Growth still far exceeds in this space versus alternatives. This will be true likely for the next 4-5 years. The downdraft in the market, I believe, is seasonal. NT raised their earnings estimates for next quarter. After an adjustment in the prices here, I think it will be wise to pick some optical up. Just one man's opinion! Steve D.
