No, I haven't read it. I did read a book about how good overcame evil when pacifists confronted and disarmed violence with nonviolence. Under its spell, I smiled lovingly at an angry drunken woman on the Subway one warm Sunday morning when, with a bunch of friends and my then three year old son, I was taking the train and the New York Times to Central Park. She looked quite startled at my pacifistic beaming, and, not having read the book herself, charged over and spat in my face. I must be really tired. That was SO off topic.
