I thought for a while the ship was set up so Clinton could have his Wag the Dog/October surprise scenario, but as the mind got less heated I realized the Cole was just the latest victim of the feminized politically correct attitude in the military. It used to be that when a ship would enter a potentially unfriendly port the crew had to be on alert. If a rubber dinghy had approached the ship in an earlier era, the dinghy would have been ordered to back off. If it did not, it would have been fired upon. Our new sensitivity training tells us this would be too aggressive. PC has dulled alertness and the warrior instinct.
