Del, this is your hobby-horse, and you can ride it without me. I can't say it any plainer. No person who professes to be a Christian and reads the New Testament and follows the teachings of Christ, or tries to, believes that it is acceptable to murder man, woman, and child. I know, because you've argued it before, that Christ said he didn't want to contradict anything in the Old Testament. But I think a fair reading of what He said is that he wanted to transcend the old "eye for an eye" - He said that we should love one another, that we should love our neighbors as much as we love ourselves. If a man asks you for your coat, give him your cloak. If he asks you to walk a mile with him, walk with him two. If he smites you on one cheek, turn the other cheek. If you see a man hungry and naked, feed him and clothe him. Be just. Be righteous. Tell the truth. Whatever you do for the least of us, you do for Him.
