Musings of a Fry:

News ooopsies; media ooopsies ... are they really ooopsies?

We all know about the media blitz that helped this market rise to unbelievable heights; about those analysts that can't seem to get the numbers right so they just naturally keep raising the targets and we/us keep taking the 12-month targets in 2 or 3 days time frame... and so on, and so forth.

So, now what? Are we again to fall for the same tricks? The ones who profited will respond... why not? The ones who lost? Sheeeesh... if they're still investing or trading, will probably say... never again!

Most have learned TA, FA, gut feel, tape feel, price feel, etc... how about media feel? CNBC feel?

In TA we learn candlesticks, bars, lines, oscillators, indicators, setups, formations... lets talk formations: The HAMMER formation... and lets apply the name to our media feel of varying degrees of sensitivity.

Is this a media HAMMER formation?

1. biz.yahoo.com

2. biz.yahoo.com

3. biz.yahoo.com

4. biz.yahoo.com

I believe its a HAMMER formation but I'm not sure... there may be experts out there willing to help. I touched up on this same subject a little a few days back...

...this is almost like SPAM. The object of this formation is to HAMMER it to you until they got you... maybe you missed the original? Here are the updates, the corrections, and so on and so forth. I don't have the expert media feel but it sure look like it to me...

Shhhhheeeeeshhhh! Here we go again... Reuters seem to be really good at this, maybe I'll ask them for the right feel.

PS: My apologies to the VERT holders for the example link... it just burns me up. We've all seen this media blitz before... the pre-announcements to announce, the announcements on deals with company XYZ among the 3 million other deals totaling two cents...

I feel a little better now...
