Limtex, you wrote:
"See the post on this thread about NT and even they don't have problems. Their optical business is growing as planned or better.

At NT, optical network systems sales grew at a slower pace in the third quarter. That is to say sales growth slowed significantly less than analyst expectations.

NT's Optical Internet Solutions segment grew 90% yoy in the qtr which was well below analysts' forecasts of between 120 percent and 125 percent.

Yes, management stressed the shortfall was more of an inventory issue than demand. None the less - it is not that uninformed panic mass madness has broken out as you have described it. It is in fact a slowing of growth at NT using traditional market measures. Investors are simply acting in their own self interests - as always.

Maybe bad at first but SDLI already reported and no sign of a slowdown...This,IMHO, is uninformed panic mass madness has broken out.

And it is not a pretty sight. As you said SDLI already reported, and the report was excellent. Yet today the stock is down close to 25% on very high volume. And JDSU is trading at prices that were seen in late December 1999.

As I have posted here several times over the past few months, I have been cautious concerning JDSU, and I had even sold some. But at these levels, with the long term in mind, I would not be a seller, and may do a little buying.
