tim(ing) will tell...what we're experiencing may turn out to be a small (to medium large!) hiccup five years from now. Investors see this as an opportunity to buy at perceived bargain prices...the wise invesotr knows not to place all for speculation, rather moderated behavior.

yes, I'm part of the late 30's age group with friends that are younger and MUCH older sticking with their investment strategies, some lucky to have grabbed msft and hold, others holding their HD stock no matter what, BA stuffed to the gills in their 401k, bonds....

These folks recognize their personal strategies, maybe their 401k, maybe averaging technique, maybe knowing when to say when, maybe removing excess, a balance of poftfolio, i think much in the same fashion that we as traders trade our time frame.

Don't think for a second that the investor is naive (which I don't think you do) compared to the trader,,,in fact, the reverse thought perhaps is more common.

We happen to have the luxury of understanding, to be educated by the countless of spectacular contributors on SI on techniques to preserve or to enhance our profits...

no one has the complete answer.

Earlier, i posted this link for a reason, to evaluate the blimp commnunity versus the slimline approach...

take a look and the blimpos from the lows of May, on average higher today than they were through perhaps one of the most volatile periods in the history of the stock market...

and compare them to the slimline approach...

so, what's my point???...no one has a crystal ball...

tomorrow, maybe a return to slimline investement/trading approach, but for now the fat appears to be getting fatter.

Myabe it's just human nature to seek the next msft....
