Yes, it's actually showing a bit of green. Go figure!

Mike: LSI is a tremendous company. The only black marks that I can think of are the fact that it made a major start up investment in Gresham at a slightly less than opportune time during the end of the longest semi down cycle on record, as well as the fact that someone leaked the earnings warning in August 1998.

If you look at where they are at going forward, it is clear that they are affiliated with most of the end market winners in cutting edge high tech products.

I definitley noticed Wilf's rebuke of Hans Mosselmann, although I thought it a little unfair because Hans was not present.

And there were some items missing from the CC. These included:

Any information on Mint and design services.
Any substantive information on CDMA handsets.
A further discussion on what is going on with ZSP in its efforts to gain market share from Texas Instruments
Any information at all on DCAM and DVD.

But this was a tremendous CC, and for the next twelve months, the outlook is very bright.

What I find most interesting is the fact that the market is beginning to overanticipate tha next down cycle in the semis. This clearly portends of problems for LSI's stock price as there will be increasing downward pressure on LSI's price as the next down cycle approaches.

But, even assuming that the cycle ends in 2003, this means that the stock will hit its nadir in 2002, and given earnings of $2.50 for 2002, that would stll auger for a price of $42 a share in 18 months, which still makes LSI a tremendous investment going forward.
