Do you suppose that some of the gods are actually doing silo management and just protecting their petty fiefdoms? It sure seems that way to me. My Flat Tire God may have wanted to be the world peace god, but was only allowed to regulate my life instead because he has the wrong class ring. If he would have been as good at world peace as he is at flattening our tires then everything would be wonderful. But seriously, I think it may actually be a war of wills. That reality comes from the will seems pretty clear (IMO). I've talked about this before. So, we have all these people who argue that their Invisible Friend is the only True Friend and that they should convince everyone of this. I don't care if people believe in MY god because it is immaterial (no pun intended). However that they believe in THEIR god is worrisome because some of their gods aren't very nice (if you believe their god's press releases).

Yes, but it is clear that Zeus is the most powerful. Zeus was allotted the dominion of the sky after having waged war against Cronos and the TITANS [seeTitanomachy]. Zeus surpasses all others in spirit, wisdom and justice. He prevails upon good men by persuasion, intimidating the evil by punishment. Zeus, some say, caused the Trojan War, so that the load of death might empty the world. Zeus got the thunderbolt, his ultimate weapon, from the CYCLOPES, and an eagle brings back the thunderbolts which Zeus has flung. hsa.brown.edu Who has not seen a thunderbolt? Well, actually I have seen lightning bolts, but that's being picky, isn't it? Anyway, how can anybody doubt that Zeus is the true God when we can see his power in lightning bolts. All I ever see for "proof" of the Christian god is stories, stories, and more stories. I want proof. Zeus manifests himself in every lightning bolt, and we all know that just one lightning bolt is very powerful. I have read that there is lightning going on somewhere on Earth 60 times a second. Let's see some other false god try to match that. How much proof do we need. I don't understand why those in need of a god to believe in don't believe in Zeus. After all, he can blast non-believers out of existence with one stroke. I have read where this actually happens from time to time. Del
