Quadrant to offer cutting edge IT testing system Maseru (Mopheme/The Survivor, October 24, 2000) - In a move that sets it apart, Quadrant Training has signed an agreement with the Virtual University Enterprises (VUE) information technology (IT) testing service of National Computer Systems, Inc (NCS) to provide IT certificate examinations using the VUE testing system. This makes Quadrant the first and only training facility in the country to provide on- line testing facilities to its clients. VUE's advanced Inter-net-based system administers IT exams for internationally-recognised certificate course such as MCP, MCSE, A+, N+ and others via the Internet. Phakisa Makhesi, Qua-drant's Training Manager, said "We're excited about our new partnership with VUE. Their testing system si the most powerful available, and will allow us to provide even better service to our clients." " It will reduce the costs of sitting an international certification exam, as it is no longer necessary to travel to Bloemfontein or Johannes-burg to do so," said Richard Yawe, Marketing Manager. "VUE's technology also gives us unparalleled control and flexibility over our ability to provide testing services via the Internet", he added. "Everyone wins." The agreement puts Quadrant in a position to provide its certification students and other members of the public with easy, affordable and quick access to the exams that will allow them to prove their competence in technical matters. VUE is an electronic testing, course registration and training administration division of NCS. From operating centres in the US, Australia, China and the Netherlands, VUE provides a variety of services to the IT training industry. Exams are delivered directly from the exam sponsor and results are quickly transmitted back, ensuring that the candidate's certification status is promptly updated.
