Besides, tomorrow may well be a better day. ;-) No, but I do feel like going back to bed and pulling the covers over my head. :)2. I think that H&Q may have been a little harsh. Not much, just a little. I believe that Roth was impressed with how quickly its customers burned off excess inventory - all done in the 3rd Q. I have the impression that the burn off is behind NT; thus the stunning growth forecast for 4Q relative to the record number in 2Q. If the market is forward-looking, it seems to me there'll be a change of sentiment as soon as they figure out the worst is behind and forward guidance is still really good. I suspect it'll take awhile for Wall Street to figure it out, drones that they are. I have to ask myself: if the only component-makers who can even remotely be compared to JDSU --- SDLI and GLW --- blew out numbers in Q3, what's to prevent JDSU from doing the same? Analysts aren't stupid. They know what they're doing when the raise or lower guidance, and very little of it has to do with current data but the status of their IB's stock requirements, so I have to believe they won't let a good buying opportunity pass them by. The question is, how far do they want the key stocks to drop before they step back in? I certainly would be buying here except for the fact I just did a major equity investment in a start-up and I'm tapped out. However, I'll be delighted if those who follow the fundamentals, and time it carefully, make a killing. Incidentally, Next Generation Networks, the BCR networking conference in WN., D.C., begins on Monday. It's an excellent forum for sorting out the FUD from fact. Here's the link to conference highlights:bcr.com I'll be in the front row. :) Pat
