<<<<Can you please detail how much virtually no money paid for the service package to the store really is?>>>>

Our dealer packet from our wholesale supplier provides for a $23 payment for signing the initial 500 minute service package to G*. No additional bonuses are included from this provider at this time. We were told from signing that Globalstar was not providing incentive to the wholesaler and therefore they were not pushing the package to the retail store locations.

Until such a time as G* wakes up and dances with them that will dance the phones will not sell. I have been very excited about the prospect of selling G* phones until realizing that no support was provided from G* to the retailers.

Online stores and others are selling the phones for $699. I have no idea how the retail stores country wide are doing but I visited numerable (lots and lots) of stores in Colorado stealing ideas and at each that carried the G* phones was told they did not sell many phones. Each had stories about multiple unit sales that were pending but none had closed one of those sales. That led me to believe that they were unable to get the wholesaler to help them out with a cut in rates. Not good.

<<<<What would be an industry standard norm for this? >>>>

It seems that each provider of services uses a different commission schedule and each retailer is able to structure his sales packages and incentives to their liking. An example would be that Verizon provides a commission of say $210 for the service plan and then as an agent you can give a cheap phone away by giving an instant rebate for the price of the phone. For each number serviced maybe a profit of $100 or more could be realized. The accessories may build this up and create better profit for the store.

However, consider how many cell phones can be sold in comparison to the G* phones and one can see how G* will not be the norm for sales. I say again. It will take incentive to get retailers online or it will take a rush on the stores for phones to make them stock them. One good incentive is that if a store buys 3 phones then G* will give the store 500 minutes a month to use to demonstrate. If sales fall below 3 per quarter then the 500 minutes go bye bye.

<<<<Could you please enlighted as to what would be an standard service plan commission?>>>>

I believe the above helps but some trade secrets must remain secrets!! <ggg>

Still patient,

Bill
