Granny I have to go to the washroom The lie in this is the timeframe of the fact. All people have to go to the washroom, but it isn't a truth that you need to go now. If the statement can be put off with respect to time, it is a lie. And it is the degree of lie that is important. Once you are standing in the water the fact is moot, and you no longer need to go to the washroom. To make statements that are only truthful requires absolutes. There are no absolutes. "We are all going to die!" This is a lie if you have religious faith. Give me one example of truth, and then look for the lie?
