why do you like nt over for example, cien, avnx, glw

I don't view NT as just a fiber optic play, it is very strong across a very diversified product line. It is kicking LU's butt in next-generation PBXs for example. Much of this has come as the result of a company reinvention from old economy to new economy. I see NT in the marketplace every day and their products are impressive.

Technically NT took the hit because it was NT's revenue shortfall that drove the sector down. It got hit the hardest when in fact it probably should have gotten hit the lightest because of its diversification. So while some of the other stocks may be as good long term, I saw NT as being at more of a discount. Watching it trade today vs. CIEN, JDSU, AVNX, it seems to be holding its own from the initial drop - which at least suggests this analysis might be more right than wrong.
