Gold is recovering a little bit, however, the xau has reversed and is headed lower as expected.

What are you looking at? Gold was -$4.00 near the start of the day, and it still aint far from that. Why should people buy gold when the US Dollar index is still making new highs. Get your head out of the toilet and starts thinking. You don't expect anything and are afraid to admitt the truth {Darleen I had to slip that in}. Ken, you know very little compared to many on this thread. I believe you only took the negative view on Gold and XAU because you think it's easier to spread doom thoughts around. You've never gave any insight into this position you state.

XAU is going down because of energy cost. Margins are going to be hurt going forward. That's clear! Gold is going down due to increased production. That's clear! All that are saving most producers are their hedge book. That's most clearly obvious.

PS: I think someone here speculated that NEM may be planning on purchasing other gold stocks. Well if that should happen soon, watch the XAU make a huge drop as NEM will as well.

We are in a vicious high tech Bear Market where many investors have had to remove their gold hedges in order to raise Cash. ABX and PDG reversed and moved higher. I've learned to never be hopeful when I'm long these stocks. But there is value there and I'm holding. Gold is not Dead.
