Since you nitpicked me today, I'll return the favor. Compaq doesn't call them PC servers, they call them industry standard servers, or Intel based servers. They also run other OSs besides Microsoft's. From the Compaq website on servers:

The server the world depends on most, featuring Intel-based processors that support Windows NT and Windows 2000, Novell NetWare, SCO UNIX, and Linux.

They do mention your beloved Microsoft first. Wonder what the split is among all the OSs, in terms of sales, from Copaq and the other OEMs? Never saw a number.

Someone else among CPQ, DELL, IBM and HWP used to call them PC servers, but I don't see that name on any of their websites.

BTW, if I didn't mention it, it did sound like Microsoft W2K is coming on strong, at least from Compaq. Anybody hear about such from the other big OEMs?

Tony

Anyone know why MSFT volume is so heavy today?
80 million with 15 minutes of trading left.
Looking strong with the NAZ down 200 points.
