yeah they made one attempt early that I posted...12:18 ET Optical Defense : Merrill Lynch strategist Steve Milunovich defending Nortel
(NT) and the
optical sector; says stock is oversold and views the weakness as a buying opportunity.
Probably will hear
other defenses of the stock and sector today, though they won't do much to restore
investor confidence;
the group is under renewed pressure at midday.
