Today's decline was triggered last night by NT. The optics are taking a hit because they've been too high for too long and it does not take much in the current environment to scare the money out of any high valued stock.

Bad news for one sector is rarely good for another. This is especially true for technology segments. When you get hit in one sector you are more likely to be cautious in others. And if you lose your shirt in the market, you are going to stay pat for quite a while before venturing into any thing, no matter the valuations.

Add to this the threat of widely reduced corporate profits next year (due to the lower GDP), and we could have a bear market on our hands.

PS those of you who are tired of the political debate should follow my lead and discuss the market.
