"houses" have no ability to engineer anything...can't force any "little guy to sell", unless of course he is on margin, or doesn't understand his own risk tolerance and aversion. That is exactly why they do have the power. Fear! Anyways, so we have a difference of opinion on what causes these moves. They still happen, and at least we agree that times like these are times to look for bargains. Regards, :0) D.
