I'll have one with ya in about 2 hours.

Here's a post on TMF which includes a 3G response from NOK IR, a cut of which is also listed below. Cooters

boards.fool.com

This was their response on the 3g matter, a recent email back from Nokia

1) the operators have to purchase a license in order to offer 3G services, as the new technology--WCDMA will operate on a different frequency spectrum,

2) I think what you are asking in regards to Nokia, is that several manufacturers have signed licensing agreements with QualComm in regards to their patents. Nokia has a license agreement with QualComm which covers our current businesses. It is natural that the parties have discussions also concerning future businesses. Such talks usually take time and we have not seen any particular urgency here. Nokia also has a competitive and strong patent position in all 3G technologies and thus there is no significant influence to our bottom line. WCDMA and other ITU 3G technologies is a result of international standardization where many more companies have participated and have essential patents (including Nokia) Nokia's position is that the cumulative royalty level should become lower and thus all patent holders should award licenses on fair and reasonable terms.
