He had one main point, which you touched on here:

6. Does the methodology include using the same weighting each time. Believe it or not the Gallup
organization doesn't even use the same percentage of Democratics and Republicans each night in their
tracking poll.


He said one day the pool might consist of 39% Republicans and 34% Democrats; the following day, the percentage shifts to the reverse. Thus the ridiculous swings day-to-day.
He further said that people don't change their minds daily. Do you? No. Neither do I.The polls are themselves becoming the news, reported by the media because they own the polls. Some voters may be influenced by them (might choose to be in the "in" group, for instance).
