dib...

not sure of how accurate thomson is....for every seller, a buyer ultimately exists....high volume days in liquid stocks tend to lean toward computer execution of trades...humans can't keep up with a fast moving market, set points are triggered, and a domino effect takes place.

opportunity exists, reality is that the investor must have courage of conviction when taking a position, and the ability to exit when it goes against them, no external forces to blame.

excess is being wrenched out...this is good. prudent investors have cash, no margin, and are able to position at times like this and accrue value. best at times for the smoke to clear and an issue stabilizes...examples are stocks like intc, msft, wcom.....buying on the way up from a high volume bottom, better then on the way down....

jdsu/sdli...i would probably look at the sdli side if i believed the deal will go through...your entry is pricing jdsu in the low 60's....it can reach that or lower in a market that can be effected by specific or geopolitical bad news. reaction to jdsu earnings today will tell it all...it should define the dynamic of the underlying stock

mark peterson....not sure what happened to him...hope he bailed on cmgi.....

good luck
