You know what's funny is that there is no way they miss. No way.

Scouts honor.

Pat

Say a prayer is right. I don't think there is anything JDSU can do with their earnings which would begin to turn this around. SDLI had great numbers and is now being beatin like a dog. I'm trying to envision a way for this to turn around but this panic mind set just seems to keep pointing down.

...Did your prayer get an answer Pat?

Dennis

Josef - you are praying to Lieberman? gimme a break!

I think this may be the first time in my life I have ever seen a stock down 82 points in a day. - any stock. I recall meeting with the tech analyst of Sanford Bernstein months ago and he said that he thought the supply demand imbalance of optical components would be in balance in '01, first half. He said that in January of this year. Clearly, the group was rocketing at that time, but he may have been uncannily correct. Double and triple ordering, so everybody increases capacity, then it gets a little easier to get your orders filled, etc. JDSU at least had the wisdom to see this coming and whereas JDSU was a beneficiary of outsourcing manufacturing, now JDSU is thinking about the fixed costs of manufacturing and is doing a bit of passing the potato to others. Isn't it great to live in China?
