I have to get my 2 cents in here re: bull vs bear market

The bear is alive and well at this point, based on the technicals of the indexes, however, I have to agree with ICN too in that right now there are a bunch of stocks that are getting thrown out with the rest for no good reason.

The NASD site reports nearly 200 stocks that have beat estimates. While less than 100 have missed. Sadly, these stocks don't hit the CNBC "news" as does the big guys that miss top line but beat bottom line. Seems to me that the ANALyst yokels don't know what they want. Most of the big stocks that have missed are still profitable and rev's are growing, just not as fast as what the ANALyst thought it would so they come in and downgrade...what a friggin joke.

Nuf of that. Once the dust clears from the elections etc. then there should be some rebuilding going on. We need to get back over the 50dMA's and a cross over of the 200dMA above to get back on track. Until then it is pure trading, but very carefully.

CHKR had strong day today....I got in on CHKR just in time, Monday. I almost missed it by watching XRX, and a few others, to closely.
News/Earnings expected tomorrow.... looks like someone leaked it today. Low volume day is the weird part............Maybe it's just smoke and mirror's

Duration of a Bull or Bear market is important when it relates to the POST I re-posted here. The posting was using time frames of turnaround companies. 2 years, 3 years...etc...
I assume you are saying, that because of the current and past technical's, the chart of the Dow, S&P, Nas, etc....
is telling you that we are in for a few years of overall Bear Market. If that's the case, AND that DOES indeed become fact..... 3 year overall Bear Market, then XRX, AOL, LU,TWA,APPL, and hundreds of other Stocks/Companies are in for a VERY Rough few years and some may not survive or be near death.

I happen to believe, right or wrong, that over the next 3 years, we will have many Bull Markets and many Bear Markets, but overall, the Dow and NAS, and most any other measure you like, will be WELL ABOVE current levels. A Bull Markets with waves of Bulls and Bears though out.
