The total reduction forecast by Williams is $200 million on $5.8 billion, or 3.4%. Since they are forecasting a more than $200 million decline in next quarter, some of this is just being pushed back. Also, if optical market has greater demand than supply, even without someone replacing this shortfall may have little affect on overall growth.

RE: AT&T, I noticed there was no distinction in which capex would be cut. Maybe it will be the old telecom that Lu reported the large falloff in. If so, what pray tell does this have to do with next generation optical equipment from companies like Ciena?
