If 1.2 Mhz announcement made no difference to AMD's price, I don't know why this would. Now if it gets them some corporate wins, that would be exciting.

With the news that the PIV is going to be priced around $2K with limited RDRAM memory, they can hurt AMD without hurting themselves as these systems won't be going to the corporate space. Seems like a great strategy on Intel's part. Still not gonna buy Intel, but it is a good approach.

Now that they shot the fiber optics today, I think the smart $$$ is running out of places to park their funds....you can only buy so many shares of coke or for that matter, EMC or NTAP. And mutual funds hate to be in cash which they have a lot of now since they have been selling off for two months.

So. it seems to me that they will have to start looking for low P/E stocks with big floats that have at least decent growth prospects. Could be AMD may fit the bill. ;~))
