Victor, I agree, but the point is the powerful WANT extreme valuations because then volatility usually occurs at some point. Usually they are on the right side of the fence when it does. How many small investors made 25 times their money on MSFT Oct55 calls last week? Not many, I bet. Fund managers often get hurt as badly as the small guys does, it seems, which is why the volume was so huge today. What the small investor has to do is be very careful if they play with stocks that have extreme valuations. Too many buy at the top and sell too late on the panic on the way down.
