OT: Sorry, it takes me a year of study to understand a sector enough to have an opinion, and I haven't got around to optics. In 2000 I studied telecom services and wireless equip, so I can recommend WCOM 2003 40s. QCOM LEAPs are still way too expensive, mainly because the stock is so volatile (increased volatility in a stock = higher time premium in the option). In general, I think longest-term LEAPs (in any stock) have the best risk/reward ratio, because you can be wrong for a long time, and still eventually be right. And, in general, I think the turn in optics has just begun. That is, those stocks are still way overvalued, opinion has just started to turn negative (and has a lot further to go before you can really say the sector is out of favor). Wait until those stocks are selling at a 52-week low PE or P/S.

So, I guess I do have an opinion (based on little study or thinking).
