I thought that Reltec was in some optical space when Marconi acquired it. Didn't Reltec have the first ftth contract with Bell South? I just don't know if they made any of their own components.
BTW I saw the CEO of Bell South on CNBC this morning justifying their policy of focusing on their core markets and not running around making a lot of out-of-market acquisitions. I think he said something about getting such great revenues out of customers like Greg Waters that it would be dilutive to invest out of their core market. <gg> They didn't ask him if he was going to continue rolling out ftth, but the guy seemed to have gotten his back up about something.
Back to the PR-I was pretty sure Luminent components would be involved; could i-touch have anything to do with a "softswitch call agent ..." ?
