I see no reason to suppose that Il Papa was using my logic. It seems pretty clear that the statement draws a basic distinction between morally superior believers (incapable of genocide) and morally inferior unbelievers (capable of genocide).

If you browse earlier posts on this thread you will see many assertions, coming from believers, that any moral/ethical code that is not based on a belief in God is fundamentally inferior to those a belief-based code. The notion that believers are by definition morally superior to unbelievers seems very deeply entrenched, though supported by a paucity of logic.
