Quite right qdog, not all wireless is QCOM. But all mobile CDMA is Q! Q! will buy the rights to OFDM and stick it in alongside their plain old CDMA, just as they are including Bluetooth. A WWeb gadget won't be single mode. It'll have many bells and whistles and means of connection. Maybe including a fibre option if a wire is handy.

Yayy for monopolies. High-value monopolies are great things to invent. The more we get, the better off we all are.
