Goutama,

With AMD760, where would these VIA chipsets - KT133, and KT133A would fit?

I don't know about KT133, it should start on a descending path soon, but KT133A should have a great future. SDR will still account for more than 50% of the market. KT133A should be the mainstream chipset for Athlon and some Duron, with 760 high end and KM133 low end.

<< One way that AMD can help VIA is by pricing AMD760s high, and encouraging the first tier oems to use AMD 760 only in the very high end systems aimed at the corporate segment. >>

That sure would help via, but what motivation does AMD have to do it, since it would definitely not help AMD.

Goutama, I think AMD will price the 760 moderately high and I hope they are ready for loads of volume. This would also put price pressure on the VIA KT-133A and especially KT-133, which would benefit the "Duron infrastructure problem."

Intel will shortly be getting price pressure from the ALi and SiS chips, so its not likely they would abandon the AMD market, since, even with 760, there is less price pressure there.
